Apply Now: Phillips University Legacy Foundation 2026–2027 Legacy Scholars Cohort

The Phillips University Legacy Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 Undergraduate Legacy Scholars Cohort. This renewable, merit-based scholarship carries forward the legacy of Phillips University by supporting undergraduate students attending colleges and universities that are currently or historically affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Legacy Scholars receive annual awards ranging from $7,000 to $10,000, along with access to a robust support network focused on leadership, service, and community. In addition to financial assistance, the program emphasizes personal and vocational formation through opportunities such as the Annual Leadership Development Conference, the Volunteer Leadership Project, cohort gatherings, and connections with alumni mentors. Together, these experiences are designed to strengthen leadership skills, foster meaningful relationships, and encourage active engagement on campuses and in surrounding communities.

The application process is completed entirely online and includes submission of an application form, résumé, references, an essay, and other required materials through the application portal.

Important deadlines:
All materials—including transcripts and external references—must be submitted by March 21, 2026. The new Legacy Scholars cohort will be announced in April.
