Hello Ministers!

It’s that time of the year; time to renew your standing.

2022 CCIW Standing Instructions

Standing forms are due by December 7, 2021.

Please note under step 1.3 in the instructions:

If when setting up an account you receive the message

“No users found for the email you entered” do NOT click to create a New Account.
Please contact Peggy O’Neal at [email protected] so that your email address may be updated which will then allow you to create an account tied to your records.

If you experience any difficulties, please contact Peggy at our CCIW Office [email protected] or (309) 828 – 6293

Below are the instructions for setting up an Engage account which will then allow you to renew your standing.

PART 1 – Creating Your Account

STEP 1.1

Log in to Engage by copying/pasting the following link into your browser: https://engage.suran.com/cciwdoc/s/login

STEP 1.2

If this is your very first time entering the Engage System, you will have to create an account by clicking on “Create account” found below the “Sign In” button.

STEP 1.3

Enter your email address and click on “Register”

NOTE

The email address that you have provided to the Region should be in the Engage System. Upon entering that email address you will be sent a password reset link to your email. If you have multiple email addresses (personal, church, etc.) that may be in the system, please try one of those email addresses to set up the account.

Please, do not set up a new account If none of the email addresses you enter match to what is in the system (you’ll see a “user not found” message in red). Instead, contact Peggy O’Neal at [email protected] with the email you would like to use. Peggy will make the necessary changes, contact you, so that you will then be able to set up an account. This is important to avoid duplication of your account.

STEP 1.4

If your email address is on the system, you should see your email address and your name listed. Click on the box where your name appears.

STEP 1.5

Create your Username and set your Password

Enter your desired username and click on “Create Username”

You will receive an email with a password reset code; copy that code from your email and paste it on the next screen and click on “Check Code”

Enter and confirm your new password and click on “Submit”

You are now ready to login into your account using the username and password you’ve just created!

PART 2 – Updating your Profile

You will have limited access to edit information. However, if there is an area you would like to edit that is not accessible email Peggy at [email protected] with the changes you would like made. Currently not all areas are editable. Updates to Engage are in the works.

You can currently edit your name, photo, mailing address, email address, and phone number

PART 3 – Updating Your 2022 CCIW Standing Form

Step 3.1

On your profile page, click on the 3 bars on the upper right-hand corner then click on “New Registration” from the drop-down menu. Then click on the red “Register” button under “Clergy Standing” which will bring up a new window with the standing renewal form.

Step 3.2

Fill in your Name, Address, Phone, and Select Your Church

Your information should populate the form but you may have to enter or change the phone number or make necessary updates.

On the church drop down menu, you’ll select the church in the region where you hold membership or that you’re affiliated with.

It might be the case that your church of affiliation and your location of ministry are the same but not necessarily.

For instance, if you’re currently serving a short interim or pulpit supply at one congregation but you hold membership at another Disciples congregation, then you should select the congregation where you hold membership or affiliation.

If your membership is with another denomination (e.g., a UCC/Lutheran/Baptist, etc. pastor serving and requesting standing), you should select OHTER. In the next step, you’ll have the opportunity to enter additional information about your current location of ministry.

After completing the forms, click on “NEXT STEP”

Step 3.3

Complete the appropriate fields

NOTE You have to click the check box next to the text field in order to enter your answer

Please enter the following information:

  • Your birthdate is being requested this year to update files after a system data transfer
  • DoC and OTHER: Fill in your current ministry position, name of church/location/ begin date
  • DoC and OTHER: If you choose OTHER on the previous step, enter your current church of call/location/begin date
  • OTHER: Church Affiliation/Membership: Non-DoC ministers, list the church where you hold your membership or affiliation

  • Ministry Support: The region would like to know how they can provide support to your ministry
  • Continuation of Standing: Type “Yes” (indicates standing continuation), name and date

Click “Next Step” after you have filled out the appropriate fields

Step 3.4

Review and Submit

Review and if necessary, click on “Previous Step” to return to the previous page to make changes

Once you are ready to submit, click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page then click on “Next Steps”

Your standing form is now submitted and you can print your answers for your records. You will receive a letter of standing and 2022 clergy card in the mail. If you have any questions regarding standing or have not received the letter by Jan. 15th, contact Peggy O’Neal at [email protected]
