Great Lakes Green Chalice

Great Lakes Green Chalice is a ministry devoted to the care of Creation through our faith communities. Disciples of Christ in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan are coming together to realize our unique ecology of practice, witness and activism. Taking our cues from Green Chalice, a ministry of Disciples Home Missions, we seek to help churches develop and strengthen their Green Teams, explore Creation Care theologically and ritually, and proactively engage the climate crisis to protect the community of Creation.

You can engage this ministry by signing up for our newsletter, joining the Facebook group Great Lakes Green Chalice, and emailing greatlakesgreenchalice@gmail.com. Once a month, beginning Feb. 15, 2022 at 12pm CST, we will host Creation Care dialogues where we will explore the many facets of Creation Care and how churches can be involved. At the helm are two eco-passionate volunteers, Hannah Fitch and Clayton Summers. We are eager to get to know others who are called to this work and inspired to collaborate.
