Spotlight on the 2020 Cohort Leader

By September 22, 2020No Comments

April McClure Stewart is a homeschooling mother of six energetic children and the wife of an innovative engineer.  She considers her ministry to her family to be her primary calling and is grateful for the opportunity to further serve the church as the 2020 Cohort Leader for the School for Ministry.

April was born and raised in Eureka, IL.  She attended Eureka College where she received her BA in Vocal Performance.  She then attended Lexington Theological Seminary where she received her M.Div.  She is excited to begin working on her D.Min at Christian Theological Seminary in 2020. She served as Pastor at First Christian Church, Rock Falls, IL from 2000-2008 and as Pastor of Worship at Roanoke Mennonite Church, Eureka, IL from 2017-2020. She currently serves as Pastor at Memorial Christian Church in Peoria.

April is passionate about the intersection of the arts and faith.  She loves to read and encountering new ideas is very exciting to her.  Learning along with her children has been among the most joyous side effects of home educating.  She thinks, writes, and wonders at agraciouswelcome.com.
