The Great River Region in partnership with Kings Highway Christian Church, is starting a GoFundMe page to raise money for our beloved friend and colleague Rev. Dwight Bailey. Rev. Bailey experienced a bad fall on November 9, 2020 at Christian Church of Deliverance, Port Gibson, MS, during the Region’s Visioning Session. He has a C6 Incomplete Spinal Chord Injury. He started out at University Hospital in Jackson, MS, where he had a fusion and compression surgery. He was transferred to the Willis Knighton Rehabilitation Institute in Shreveport right before Thanksgiving. He made some progress with regaining movement in his arms and legs. Because of insurance limitations, he was moved to the Willis Knighton, Progressive Care Center in Shreveport, LA, where additional rehabilitation is being done. He will be in this facility for a month before being transferred to another designated location. His financial needs are many. He needs a special wheelchair that will help with his mobility, estimated at $20,000. There is a gap in his Medicare Supplemental coverage estimated at $6000 . There are other financial needs as well. If we can raise $50,000, this will relieve him of many of these financial burdens. We would like for everyone to step up in faith and give.
