Intercultural Excellence Project

Hello ministry partners!

Eureka College’s Inclusive Excellence program and the Pro-Reconciliation/ Anti-Racism (PRAR) ministry of the Christian Church in IL & WI are partnering to bring a speaker to Eureka College’s campus. Justin Jones-Fosu is a highly sought-after campus speaker addressing diversity – see attached flyer. He’ll be addressing the college’s incoming class, and any of our church-folk who wish to attend, this Monday, August 19 at 1:30pm in Becker Auditorium in the Cerf Center.

I’m very pleased to mark this as the beginning of our Intercultural Excellence Project, partnering with CCIW and the Oreon E. Scott Foundation. This project will bring inter-cultural expertise, training and assessment tools to the college and the region, enabling the development of students, faculty, staff and ministerial candidates under the care of the CCIW. Developing inter-cultural leadership competency is a critical area for educational institutions, including faith communities. Without it, how can we move from passively
welcoming to intentionally inclusive?

Peace!
