Obituary: Sharon Warren

Sharon Kay Warren age 59 of Bloomington, IL passed away at 4:40 AM Thursday, June 20, 2019 at her residence. Her funeral service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the First Christian Church, Bloomington, IL. Rev. Dr. Teresa Dulyea-Parker will be officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-7:00 PM Tuesday at the First Christian Church, Bloomington, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to her children’s education fund in care of her husband Rev. Jim Warren or to the First Christian Church, Bloomington, IL. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL.

Sharon was born April 6, 1960 in Elgin, IL the daughter of James Albert and Donnabelle Reed Wilson. She married Rev. Dr. Jim E. Warren on August 28, 1982 in Valparaiso, IN. He survives.

Also surviving are her 10 children, Ben (Kylie Corry) Warren, Seattle, Chris Warren, Normal, IL, Katherine Warren, Jackson, MS, Carolynn, Johnathon, Samuel, Rebekah Gabriel, Lydia, and Bethany Warren, Bloomington, IL, 1 grand-daughter Hannah Warren, Normal, IL, 2 brothers, Mitch (Gena) Wilson, Whitefish, Montana, Kenneth Wilson, Hanna, IN.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents.

Sharon received her bachelor’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University, Kankakee, IL and she received her master’s degree from University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. She taught most recently at Washington School Bloomington, IL and previously taught at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was a member of First Christian Church, Bloomington, IL.
