Rev. Judith Guy speaking for Eureka College Baccalaureate

The community is invited to celebrate in worship with the 2019 graduating seniors of Eureka College, Friday, May 10, at 6:00pm in Becker Auditorium. The college is honored to have a special preacher for this year’s Baccalaureate:

Rev. Judith Guy, Pastor of Mackinaw Christian Church, will deliver the Baccalaureate address.

Rev. Guy is a 2012 EC graduate with a B.A. in Religion/Philosophy and former Disciples Leadership Fellow. During her time ‘Neath The Elms, she was a resident assistant, leadership ambassador, Homecoming Chair, Campus Activities Board member and Disciples on Campus member. She also studied abroad in Hyderabad, India.

After college, Rev. Guy taught English in the country of Georgia from fall 2012 to spring 2013 before continuing her education at the University of Chicago. There, she served as summer a hospital chaplain at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, as well as a student minister at Greensboro Church in Greensboro, North Carolina, and University Church in Chicago while pursuing her Master’s of Divinity.

Ordained by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in June 2017, Rev. Guy has served Mackinaw Christian Church since October 2017.

The Baccalaureate service is an offering of worship in which all graduates, faculty, friends, relatives and community supports are invited to participate. Eureka College is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and is committed to respecting the community’s diversity. This tradition equally honors the choice to worship or simply observe, according to one’s conscience.
