On February 10, members of Centennial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) took part in a Celebration of Camp Sunday. Rev. Eli Rolòn Jeong was introduced to the congregation and shared about his ministry. Participants in all aspects of the camping program including campers from Beginners to Post High, directors, counselors, and kitchen volunteers spoke of the transformative experiences that happened and life long friendships that started at Camp Walter Scott. Camp songs were sung, goldfish crackers and juice were shared as the elements of communion, and announcements were given after a rousing rendition of the Announcement song. Gwen Peebles invited all to consider attending camp. Joe Peebles encouraged all to find a way to volunteer and provide leadership for the camping program. Sarah Todd challenged the congregation to take part in Centennial’ s special offering that is being received now until a March 24 for the Camp Walter Scott Matching Fund Campaign.
