30-35 Volunteers from churches, community and schools set-up, pack and deliver Snack Packs each week
Food has been donated each month from
Midwest Food Bank (20 % of total food shared in Snack Packs)
Individuals and St. Mary’s School of Kickapoo (5 % of total food shared in Snack Packs)
Food has been purchased to compliment and balance donated food (75%)
Financial support has been received from individuals, Community Foundation of Central Illinois, local church congregations, service organizations and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Illinois and Wisconsin.
First Christian Church-Peoria and Memorial Christian Church-Peoria have made valuable contributions to the Snack Pack program, assisting with weekly volunteers and have been a strong source of financial contributions.
We continue to welcome and encourage students to participate in Snack Packs. Students wishing to participate can be added to the list at any time.
We have been contacted by three additional school asking for information, mentoring and collaboration. Hopefully we will be able to network and be supportive of these schools, churches and community groups.
We want to continue to share the Snack Pack message and the many benefits.
