In the words of the renowned gospel singer Mattie Moss Clark, “Come over here where the table is spread and the feast of the Lord is going on”. Rev. Dr. William L. Lee, director of Office of Black Ministries, and Disciples Home Missions invite you to the 44th Annual Black Ministers Retreat at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia; March 5-8, 2018 where there is a seat at the table waiting just for you!

Some of the most exquisite theological, biblical and practical chefs will prepare meals just for you at the feast. Spiritual cooks include Rev. Dr. Cynthia Hale, Rev. Dr. Frank A. Thomas, Rev. Dr. Stephanie Crowder, Min. Angela Whitenhilll , Rev. Dr. Rosalyn Nichols and Rev. Marvin Owens; just to name a few.

As a special treat, we will tour the Smithsonian National African-American Museum of History and Culture on Tuesday followed by a time of reflection and discussion. This experience is befitting of this year’s theme “Remember the Past… Pursue the Future” (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17).

You are encouraged to register today. The first 100 registrants will receive a free copy of Dr. Stephanie Crowder’s latest book, “When Momma Speaks, the Bible and Motherhood from a Womanist Perspective”. The deadline for the special hotel rate at the Hilton is February 3, 2018.
