The late Rev. Wm Edwin Jacobs (formerly of Prairie Avenue Christian Church in Decatur) wrote two books – “Magnificent Journey” and “Answers to Unanswered Questions of Life and Religion.”
Edwin had a unique and thoughtful perspective on life and that is captured in his writing.
From “Magnificent Journey” – All the events in this book actually happened one New Year’s Eve in the mountains of East Kentucky. “The Journey herein recorded was a happy event imprinted in my memory, remarkable for the extraordinary intensity of my aliveness to life in that present moment. It was a time of total focus, and consequently of a sense of the presence of God, in whom we live and move and have our being.”
And from “Answers” – This book is a series of answers to questions that many people in the churches Edwin served would ask and always told him that he should write a book. When he retired, Edwin decided to do just that.
It a great source for a discussion group or a Sunday School class. There are 28 short chapters (2 to 6 pages) All the answers are based on scripture giving the Bible Book, Chapter and verses for each answer.
