Greetings! We wanted to inform you that four ministry projects in the Illinois-Wisconsin region applied for and received grants from the National Benevolent Association’s Mission and Ministry Grant program. We received many requests for funding and we are impressed by the scope and quality of ministries of care and compassion across the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Thank you for the good work you did to share out the grant application and to encourage ministries in your area to apply.
In the attachments to this email you can see the name of the project from your area that received a grant, the funding they received and the requirements from the NBA to the recipients.
Each project is required during the next year to share a story of their project with the NBA. It is our hope to share many of those stories with the wider church to encourage us all towards innovative ministries of compassion and care. We will plan to share those stories back with you as well so that you can use them in your region.
In the Spring of 2018, the NBA will again open the application process for the mission and ministry grants and we welcome your support in sharing that information across your region.
