One of the benefits of a group insurance program is purchasing power. The Insurance Board already offers one of the most robust, comprehensive property and liability insurance program for churches. By participating in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Illinois and Wisconsin Region Group Program, you will receive better pricing. How much better? It depends on how many churches participate. There are 135 CCIW congregations in our region. Here is the chart and what participation means to your church, keeping in mind that 12 of our churches already participate in the Program:

Number of RegionRegion Participation
churches Insured by IBDiscount off Premium
Up to 225%
23-457%
46-6710%
68-8914%
90+20%

IB will offer an enrollment period beginning immediately and ending on December 31. At that time, we will provide the list of churches who participate to the Region and determine the Participation Discount which will THEN be applied retroactively to cover all churches enrolled on that date. The benefit is that when you receive your premium quote you can compare it to your existing program and decide knowing on January 1 you will get at least a 5% credit.

Our Region has been insured with the Insurance Board program for quite some time, and we encourage churches to at least consider Insurance Board.  Our agent, Shawn Maxson, will work with each church to complete an application and to gather any details to streamline the process.
