Summer School at CTS
Christian Theological Seminary invites you to the Commissioned and Licensed Ministers’ Summer School, Monday, June 12 through Thursday, June 15. Join us for a special learning experience with Dr. Rick Lowery, on the theme of “Shalom: Creating the Beloved Community in Trump’s America.”
The course will explore the Hebrew concept of shalom. Often translated as “peace,” shalom has a much richer meaning. It refers to completeness, wholeness, the harmonious balance of diverse, interdependent, complementary forces. Shalom describes a well-functioning network of mutual support that promotes the common good. The course examines this key biblical concept as a way of understanding and addressing the deep fears, frustrations and divisions exposed in our post-election American society.
Summer School includes daily chapel, meals and conversation that is renewing and transformative. And it does all this in fellowship with a welcoming group of licensed and commissioned ministers!
