Rev. Dr. Christal Williams’ Installation

It is with great anticipation and excitement that we celebrate the Installation Weekend of Rev. Dr. Christal L. Williams as Regional Minister and President of the Christian Church in Tennessee! May this letter serve as our personal invitation to every Tennessee Disciple congregation to participate in all of the events that we have planned for the weekend of November 19 – 20, 2016.

The celebration will begin with a Prayer Brunch at New Covenant Christian Church – 2201 Osage Street, Nashville, Tennessee. The Brunch will last from 9:30 am to 11:30 am featuring Rev. Karren Todd as our keynote speaker. Later that day, we will open the doors of our Regional Office, located at 7980 Coley Davis Road, Suite 102, Nashville, TN allowing every Disciple to tour the Regional Office from the hours of 2:00 pm to 4:00 p.m. And finally, we will end the day with good food, great fun and wholesome fellowship as we attend The Gathering for a celebration of music of all genres, laughter, and campfire singing at Bethany Hills 1080 Bethany Hills Rd., Kingston Springs, TN. We will arise on Sunday morning for worship and praise at our local congregations featuring guest preachers from across the state of Tennessee. We will conclude the weekend celebration by gathering for the Installation Service at the Woodmont Christian Church – 3601 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville, TN. Rev. Dr. Robin Hedgeman from Bethany Christian Church of Cleveland, Ohio will be our keynote speaker. This service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with reception to follow.

In order to capture the number of attendees, we are asking that you register for the Prayer Breakfast and The Gathering at Bethany Hills. Please register at www.ccdctn.org no later than November 1, 2016. Seats are limited for the Prayer Breakfast; therefore it is important that we capture an accurate head count for both events to ensure that we accommodate everyone.

For the Installation Service we are asking that all Pastors, Ministers and Elders arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. to come together in prayer and prepare to participate in the processional of Ministers and Lay leaders. Additionally, all Pastors and Ministers are asked to wear robes. The Elder’s attire will be black suits or pant suits or dresses, accessorized with stoles. Reserve seating will be provided. All times noted are central standard time (CST).

As you can see, we are excited for what God is doing and are looking forward to seeing you!

Through the grace of God, let us, in excellence, honor God, as we celebrate Rev. Dr. Christal L. Williams as our Regional Minister, by creating a weekend showcasing our diversity through excitement and enthusiasm for the Christian Church in Tennessee.
