WANTED – SUMMER MINISTRY INTERN
The Illinois/Wisconsin Region of the Disciples of Christ is accepting applications for a summer intern who will relate to its camp and conference program. The position is open to students who have heard the call to vocational ministry who are interested in working with youth in a camp atmosphere. Preference will be given to those who are at least 20 years old and who have completed their second year of college.

Stipend: $2,500 plus room and board
Job Description:
As the CCIW camp intern you’ll be expected to be a part of the camp atmosphere, meaning you’ll be an important part of every camp every week. You’ll be expected to participate in the activities of each camp. You will be expected to provide age appropriate activities, as well as sharing your call to vocational ministry to encourage campers to consider ministry as a viable option. Your first priority is to the kids, making sure that they are safe and that they’re having a great time. You’ll be expected to touch base with the directors of each camp every day to help them run the best possible camp. You’ll have a meeting each week with the camp program director to touch base with how your week is going to make sure that you and the camp staff are on the same page. (The camp staff is expected to help and participate fully in the evening program as designed by the Camp Director.) The Intern will creatively convey his or her own story and share that testimony with each camp.
If the camp lifeguard position has not yet been filled, you are welcome to apply for that position for 2 hours a day with additional compensation.
Time Off: Because camp usually ends at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, weekends will be defined as from Saturday (10:00 a.m.) until needed for the camp staff meeting on Sunday afternoon. Additional free time will be allocated one day per week.
