INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Enrique Ocasio will replace W. Darwin Collins as vice president of the Christian Church Foundation’s Great Lakes Zone at the end of February.

Collins is retiring from full-time ministry Feb. 29 but will continue to work on a limited basis with donors and congregations in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Ocasio has been on staff for 12 years, working primarily since 2006 as the Foundation’s representative for Hispanics and in Puerto Rico.

“We’re pleased that Enrique can extend his ministry to additional individuals and congregations,” Foundation President Gary Kidwell said. “He is passionate about financial stewardship and is deeply devoted to helping all people make a difference through their giving.”

The Foundation’s Great Lakes Zone includes donors and congregations in Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and the states in the Northeastern Region.

Ocasio was ordained into Christian ministry in 2015 in Ohio after a long career as a commissioned minister. His wife, the Rev. Carmen R. Fernandez, is an ordained Disciples minister serving as associate minister at Gender Road Christian Church, Columbus, OH. Ocasio previously served with the Division of Overseas Ministries and was the pastor of a Disciples new church start.

Ocasio can be reached [email protected], directly at (317)750-9188 or through the Foundation’s toll-free phone number, (800) 668-8016.
