I am writing to inform you that Carmelo Alvarez, who served with Global Ministries in Venezuela, will be visiting UCC and Disciples congregations in the Chicago area September 9 – 30, 2015.
If you are interested in seeing if a visit to your congregation would be possible or knowing which churches Carmelo will be visiting in your area, please contact Beth Miller by e-mail at [email protected]. Please keep in mind any mid-week opportunities that your congregation might have or create, since Sundays fill up quickly. If Carmelo’s schedule is already full, you can always ask to be put on the waiting list for the next missionary visit in your area!
We would also appreciate it, if you were able to get the word out about this visit to other ministers and congregations in your area, who might be interested in going to hear Carmelo speak in a neighboring congregation, or even getting their church on their speaking schedule, if there are still open dates.
