Pension Fund Seeks Senior Vice-President/President Elect

The Board of Directors of the Pension Fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Inc. is seeking candidates and candidate recommendations for the position of Senior Vice-President/President Elect. This position has been created to serve a transitional role in conjunction with the retirement of the current president, following which the President Elect will become the President of the Pension Fund.

The Pension Fund is a general ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the U. S. and Canada, providing retirement and health programs for ministers and lay employees of the Disciples of Christ and Stone-Campbell heritage congregations, ministries, colleges, seminaries and related organizations. The Pension Fund assists its members in achieving and maintaining health and financial security. Its programs include retirement plans (defined benefit pension plan, defined contribution tax deferred retirement accounts, IRAs, Roth IRAs, after tax-retirement savings accounts); medical, dental, pharmaceutical and vision benefit plans; and accident insurance. Additionally, the Pension Fund provides support to those in need through its wide range of Ministerial Relief and Assistance programs. The Pension Fund has approximately 40 employees, more than 12,000 participants across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and related international ministries, and has more than $3 billion in assets under management.

The President will inherit a diverse organization with a 120-year legacy of service “in support of the ministry.” With the support of a committed Board, the President will lead the evolution of the organization, capitalizing on opportunities to grow its assets in an increasingly competitive pension, benefits and healthcare landscape. At the same time, the President will maintain a focus on the Pension Fund’s mission to provide pension benefits that enable those who serve the church to live comfortably in retirement.

The successful candidate will have a broad executive management background in financial services, nonprofit, healthcare and/or employee benefit plans. The President Elect will be a visionary and strategic leader with the ability to embrace and manage through change.

Interested candidates may forward a letter of interest and resume to Fraser Keating Associates as noted below. Candidate recommendations are also welcome. Additionally, please share this with others who may have an interest and the requisite qualifications.
