Work Projects Spring 2014

  • 1. Spring cleaning – retreat house, cabins, etc
  • 2. Inventory/repair chairs in dining hall
  • 3. Clean ceiling fans in dining hall & replace ceiling vents
  • 4. Repairs on any/all shelters, including tarps
  • 5. Repair ceiling – north show house, west side
  • 6. Repair door latch – cabin 2
  • 7. Clean the volleyball court
  • 8. Trim tree branches
  • 9. Add ropes and floats to swim area
  • 10. Wash outside of retreat house, clean gutters
  • 11. Clean and repair gutter and soffit – NW of dining hall kitchen
  • 12. Add gravel to parking areas & roads to shelters
  • 13. Add more gravel to the parking to near the retreat house
  • 14. Add sand to the beach
  • 15. Check all trails – add mulch/wood chips to trails
  • 16. Build bench at frog pond
  • 17. Rebuild the labyrinth
  • 18. Dining hall – new entry doors
  • 19. Power wash all metal roofs
  • 20. Build a ramp on west side of Cabin 1 + path of stepping stones
  • 21. Cabins, #1 and #2 – insulation, weather stripping, sealing cracks, etc
  • 22. Cut trees and split firewood – we can always use more
  • 23. Install metal roof – north side – small shelter
  • 24. Install metal roof on the shop

  • 1. New curtains in dining hall and cabins
  • 2. New couches and chairs in Cabin #1 and Cabin #2
  • 3. New flooring in common areas in Cabin #1 and Cabin #2
  • 4. New air conditioner for Cabin #1
  • 5. Copy machine for camp office
  • 6. Accessibility project – dining hall – exterior doors, grab bars in restrooms
  • 7. New ceiling light fixtures and fans – dining hall
  • 8. New chairs for the dining hall
  • 9. Concrete parking pad near dining hall ramp + front walk
  • 10. Clocks for all 3 levels of the dining hall $50
  • 11. Signage for parking areas
  • 12. New lightweight tables for the dining hall – 20 rectangular tables, 8 feet long + 15 round tables
  • 13. Menards gift cards – unlimited amount
  • 14. Rural King gift cards – unlimited amount
  • 15. Construct a new shelter – prototype –
  • 16. Recreation equipment/areas – north side – create/update volleyball court & basketball court
  • 17. More aeration pumps for the lake
  • 18. New 30 cup coffee pot
  • 19. Long range consideration – new distribution box – electrical – dining hall
