Reverend Doctor Michael A. Gatton “Mike”

A native of Louisville, Kentucky.

Newly retired minister, after serving the Church for 50 years.

A graduate of the University of Louisville (BA, English/Humanities), Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (MDiv), and Vanderbilt University (DMin). A high school teaching certificate from Murray State University.

Pastorates in Benton, Appalachia, Somerset, and Louisville.  Vice-President of Development and Church Relations with Christian Church Homes of Kentucky and Presbyterian Homes and Services of Kentucky.  Former high school coach.

Speaker for youth events, regional men’s retreats, and not-for-profit and corporate groups.  Leader of Kentucky Youth Seminar, “Face-to Face With Other Faiths”—a week-long travel/study experience for high school youth. This summer will celebrate 44th year keynoting at high school church camps.

Lives at his beloved Canaan, a 16-acre, wooded and spring-fed tract in Jefferson County, Kentucky.  Enjoys reading, crosswords, UL sports, good food, theater, and tending the farm.

Looking forward to traveling (eight more states and several countries to see), writing his first book, and building his long-dreamed model railroad empire.
