Voices LogoMinneapolis, MN (March 4, 2016) – First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Minneapolis is launching a community workshop and lecture series entitled Voices:  Addressing Issues That Affect the Church and Wider Community.  The first series, Trauma And Its Aftermath:  Moral Injury and Moral Meaning-Making, will feature Rev. Dr. Rita Nakashima Brock, and will occur May 13-14, 2016 at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), located in the SpringHouse Ministry Center at 610 West 28th St. in Minneapolis.

The audience is the wider ecumenical faith community (clergy, chaplains, lay congregational leaders) in the Twin Cities.  Through participation in lectures, workshops, and relationship building with local organizations and practitioners, participants will leave with implementable ideas on how to counsel others who have experienced trauma, especially when working with veterans.
