How to Survive and Thrive as an Elder
A webinar led by Rev. Bill McDonald, Interim Pastor, South Elkhorn Christian Church, Lexington, KY
For over 40 years Bill McDonald has been serving Disciples congregations as pastor. He is recently retired from Crestwood Christian Church in Lexington, KY, and serves as interim pastor at South Elkhorn Christian Church, also in Lexington. Bill is also an LTS alumni and a member of the LTS Board of Trustees.
Bill has a passion for equipping and empowering those who have been called as elders in local congregations, and this webinar is designed to do just that.
A refresher course for old hands and a how-to class for fresh recruits, this practical workshop will give helpful ideas on fulfilling one’s role as an elder. From preparation to prayer, from the Lord’s Table to the hospital room, from shepherding to servant leadership, from the how to the why, through stories and scripture, this inspiring and entertaining webinar will offer a broad scope and detailed information for elders in churches large or small.
The webinar will take place on Saturday, February 21st, from 1:30-3:30pm. No matter what time zone you hail from, we hope you’ll join us. You may register online at:
