Standing
Dear CCIW Clergy Colleagues:

Our Regional Committee on Ministry wants to thank you for your ministry and service to God, Church and community. We are grateful that you are part of the ministry of the Christian Church in Illinois and Wisconsin.

In keeping with The Theological Foundations and Policies and Criteria for the Order of Ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Regional Committee on Ministry is responsible for annually reviewing and certifying the standing of all ordained and commissioned ministers under our care; including hospital chaplains, military reserve and National Guard chaplains who have not been called to active duty, part-time VA chaplains, ecumenical ministries whose responsibilities are within the region, and state and local prison chaplains.

Standing allows your name to be listed in the Ministers Directory of the 2014 Year Book and Directory of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). As a minister with Standing you may call upon the church for services and support through Disciples Home Mission, have voting privileges at the Regional Assembly of CCIW, and General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and may meet IRS requirements for housing allowance provisions.

To receive Standing for 2015 the Regional Committee on Ministry must have your completed form by Jan. 22, 2015. Good News the process is online. Use this link Long Standing Form

Retired clergy who still want to be active doing pulpit supply, interims, weddings, funerals use this link Short Standing Form

If you are Retired and no longer serving in ministry, you may use this form to request Inactive Retired status . . . your standing will remain as recognition of your faithful service.

Please note that the Regional Commission on Ministry will remove standing if you fail to complete this process for two consecutive years.

In Christ’s service with you,

Rev. Dr. Teresa Dulyea-Parker, Regional Minister & President

Rev. Edward Morris, Chair RCOM
