Setting the Table for Generosity

More money means more ministry – an inescapable reality! But more than simply funding the church budget, the thoughtful practice of the spiritual discipline of stewardship by peopled connected to your church enables your congregation to engage in mission and achieve its vision. What are the resources that can help your church grow in generosity? How can we teach living in faithful response to all that we have received from God’s abundance? Can you imagine what your community of faith might be empowered to do if it had all of the financial resources it needed?
During our time together we will explore biblical foundations for stewardship, best practices for encouraging generosity, and strategies for comprehensive stewardship planning that take this conversation from beyond the budget to a year-round adventure in faithfulness. We will discuss how to integrate all aspects of stewardship from the celebration of creation to the final benediction we write with our lives.
Each of us (and each of our congregations) is currently writing our legacy – One important aspect of this workshop will lead the participants on a journey of considering how we can better create and shape our legacy intentionally for good and God. We’ll discuss how your church can encourage this reflection through a robust planned giving ministry. We’ll share resources of education, mentoring and recognition for those who wish to leave a legacy to build God’s vision and extend their values into the future.
