PRAR Decatur Central

The Pro-Reconciliation/Anti-Racism team is sponsoring an event on December 6, 2014 at Decatur Central Christian Church from 10-3, registration is 15 dollars. The event is titled Re-Routing the School-to-Prison Pipeline. Our keynote speaker for the day will be the Reverend Dr. Dietra Wise-Baker. Dr. Wise-Baker is an vocational church planter. She has also been the chaplain at Lakeside Residential Center since July 2005 and at the St. Louis County Juvenile Center since 2009. Along with Dr. Wise Baker their will be a panel which will discuss the importance of re-routing this systemic problem in our culture. The panel will include, Honorable Darren Bowden, Associate Judge Cook County also Commissioned Minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Reverend Stacy Brohard Executive Director of Good Samaritan House Decatur Illinois, Amy Witherspoon Good Samaritan House, and Steven Terry Good Samaritan House.
